Amy Beckingham is a partner in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department and Private Equity Practice. Ms. Beckingham specializes in public and private M&A and joint ventures, acting for private equity and other financial investor clients on transactions throughout Asia, across a wide range of industry sectors. She also advises sponsors and emerging companies on venture capital financings across the region. She has also advised private equity clients on their IPO exits in a number of jurisdictions across Asia.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Beckingham worked in the Hong Kong and London offices of a Magic Circle law firm for more than 10 years. During that period, she spent time on secondment to the M&A team of Ferrovial in Madrid and in the infrastructure team at 3i in London.

  • Vingroup Joint Stock Company on the joint venture between Vincommerce, a consumer retail unit of Vingroup which operates supermarkets, convenience stores, and farms, and Masan Consumer to create VCM Services and Trading Development Joint Stock Company, a Vietnam-based vertically integrated retail business
  • Vincommerce, a Vietnam-based conglomerate focusing on real estate development, retail, and services ranging from healthcare to hospitality, on an US$500 million investment by a consortium led by GIC
  • Asia Self Storage, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company, on the acquisition of 51% stake in Ministorage China Limited, a Hong Kong holding company of several self-storage facilities in the PRC
  • Warburg Pincus on the US$225 million investment in Converge ICT Solutions, a Philippines-based telecommunications provider
  • Lodgis Hospitality Holdings on the US$230 million acquisition of approximately 64.99% of shares in ACDL, a Canada-based real estate company and indirect owner of The Grand Ho Tram Strip, a resort hotel with casino and golf course in Vietnam
